We've been dairy farmers since 1918, and it wont be too long now until the 6th Generation of our family takes the reins
Peel Valley Milk was bought by Todd and Sarah Wilson with the support of Todd's parents, Brian and Vicki Wilson in October 2017.
Sarah is very much a Tamworth local, having grown up and worked in Tamworth all her life. Sarah's parents, Rob and Kathy Wilkinson have also lived in Tamworth their whole life.
Todd is a fifth generation dairy farmer, growing up in Wingham in the Manning Valley with sister Brooke and brother Matt until 2002 when the family farm was moved to Tamworth.
Dairy farming is in the Wilson blood, going back five generations and starting in 1918. This looks certain to continue, with Todd and Sarah's children Ella, Marlie and Koby all keen on the day to day running of the farm as well as the showing side of their stud jersey cows.
The family show their registered cows under their Shirlinn Stud Name at all of the major shows up and down the east coast of Australia and own the countries most decorated Dairy Cow and the 2016 Australian Grand Champion, Shirlinn Icy Eve.
As well as that, Todd, father Brian and grandfather Lindsay are all Royal show cattle judges with Brian and Lindsay also international judges.
The dairy farm on Wallamore road is a true family affair with Todd & Sarah, Brian & Vicki, Lindsay & Shirley all playing a part in the operation. A rare thing to have 3 generations working together 7 days a week 365 days a year to ensure the health of their animals and of course beautiful quality milk.
